Sadly, we didn’t win the Ford Focus. But we were really close. I liked it a lot, but there are plenty of other options. There’s an auction tomorrow in Tucson, so I am going to take the day off.<\/p>\n

There are three cars we are going to bid on. It would be nice to win all three!<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> 2010 Mazda 6<\/span> – this is a really nice car and only has 5,000 miles. We are going to bid hard for this one because we really want it.<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> 2007 Mazda 3<\/span> – Also a nice car. More compact than the Mazda 6, but it would work for a regular commuter to Mexico. Both this car and the 6 get about 30 mpg. That’s about double what we’re currently getting.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> 1990 Daihatsu Rocky<\/span> – I really want this one. It’s old, but looks like it would be a lot of fun. Perfect for trips to the beach (it’s a convertible) and up the mountain. It looks a lot like the Land Rover Defender<\/a> which we really like a lot, but much much more affordable. I’ve never even heard of Daihatsu, but apparently people that own them really love them.<\/p>\n
