<\/a><\/p>\nMy uncle Dennis came into town this week for his annual flight training. We were able to meet up with him last night for sushi and a visit to Bevmo! Bevmo is a grocery store sized liquor store that has thousands of wine selections and a plethora of imported beer. I bought a bottle of Zhiguliovskoye, a Russian beer from Moscow. I am anxiously anticipating the consumption of that. Yun picked out a Riesling from Chateau Ste. Michelle, a Columbia Valley wine from a vineyard just up the street from my sister’s house. We like Columbia Valley wines quite a lot. I experimented with a bottle of Petite Sirah by Rosenblum Cellars per Dennis’ recommendation. And as if this place could be any greater, they also have a decent cigar selection! I was able to restrain myself though given the order of Gurkah’s I had purchased earlier that day!<\/p>\n
Scout seems to be doing well with the transition into our home. We gave him a bath\/shower outside today to help reduce his dog-stank. We like him a great deal and have had a lot of fun with him. I take him for a long ride every morning and then the same when I get home from work. There’s been a few times when I have taken him out to the desert and let him chase my truck. He’s able to do a 20mph sprint for nearly a mile.<\/p>\n Our tomatoes continue to do really well. I transplanted 6 Walla Walla onions I had begun growing at work in March today. I’m hoping they’ll be able to endure our sun. My Armenian cucumbers are doing exceptionally well and has recently started blossoming, so I anticipate good things to come soon. We have some bell peppers doing pretty well likewise.<\/p>\n We’re headed back to Mexico now for some carne asada and a bit Wii tennis rematch!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This was a busy week for Yunuen and me.
