Last Saturday I had opportunity to spend the day working on the jeep. I have a long list of things to do, but all in good time.<\/p>\n

The thermostat housing was looking rather rough. The thermostat itself was even worse. I also replaced the upper radiator hose.<\/p>\n

The valve cover also was in rough shape, though it didn’t seem to be leaking. Even so, I removed it in order to paint it and to replace the gasket. In the process, I broke off the CCV valve. Fortunately, I had anticipated this possibility and had ordered a spare when I ordered the other parts. Removing that valve and grommet was a bit of a nightmare.<\/p>\n

Getting the new valve and grommet in place was a breeze. The black engine paint worked out really well.<\/p>\n
