Thanks to Matt the floors are making progress. All of my participation was worthless.

It looks great and we are quite happy with it.

We opened up the kitchen to widen the entrance to the dining room.

And then we added a pantry to the kitchen.

Phil and Shelly had us over for dinner last night. Good times, good wine, good food, good conversation.

Celebrating 42 years with some ramen. So good.

Rincon Mountain PCA recently celebrated their 20 year anniversary. I went to the breakfast celebration with Matt and Dana.

The roof was in terrible condition when we bought the house. We used that to negotiate a significantly lower price. On Wednesday the roofers finished the roof and now it looks so much better.

My jack hammer broke last night…well, the handle broke. I bought the extended warranty, so I went and got a new one without any problem.
Tonight I used my new hammer to get up all of the remaining thin set in the master bedroom. Then I removed the toilet and removed the tile in the master toilet.

We have a lot of area that has been neglected. The front round about was a mess and had a lot of pack rat nests. We used a guy we know from Michoacan to come take care of that. He eviscerated the pack rat nests and removed the dying cactus and weeds.

The kitchen has been the most difficult area for tile removal. It was a challenge to get it out of there. Very little tile remains.
Last night I finished everything up to the kitchen and the laundry room. The dining room area was really difficult to get up. Yun swept the tile out of the way as I hammered it up. It was a good combo to get it done as fast as possible.
I am hoping to get at least half of the kitchen done tonight. Yun is in Hermosillo for the weekend, so I plan to have it all done before she returns on Sunday.
The next challenge (on a long list of challenges) is to remove all of this debris from the property. I fear that will be costly. I have considered buying a trailer and putting a hitch on the Element, but that will be a lot of trips to the dump.
Roofers will start prepping the roof tonight. I reconnected with Jesus yesterday who is a spectacular electrician. He will be out at the house later this afternoon to quote me on a main hub upgrade (from 150w to 200w).
Osiel will be out shortly after Jesus to get me a quote on some landscaping. We have some pack rat nests that need to be eradicated immediately.
