We went to a farm for a dinner tonight for a 6-course dinner. The food was a bit exotic, but a fun experience.

Who rented a nice little place right on the water. We got in late last night. My sister surprised us in Nanaimo. It was a long journey to get here. When we arrived last night we wanted to tour the property in the dark.

We are currently traveling through a Vancouver on our way to see my sister today. From the airport, we took the sky train to the city center/water front and spent some time wandering around the old homeland. We found the Pan Pacific Hotel could watch our bags for $20. That made things nicer.

At 6.30 we departed on a Hullo ferry and are now on our way to Nanaimo. We will catch a BC ferry there and then head tp Gabriola.

I had Abe and Orlando up this weekend. Abe to work on the Tacoma and Orlando to continue with the trailer.

The rear suspension on the truck needed some work/adjustment. I had purchased new u-bolts weeks back, along with bump stop and new shocks. The shocks were pricey due to needing to match the lift kit (Rough Country). Also, due to the impact, so reallignment was also needed.

The problem is always the availability of parts when you need them. There were a host of things needed, but nowhere to get them. That left fabricating them as the only option.

I needed some metal shims to go between each leaf. That meant buying a sheet and cutting/drilling.

In the end, they worked and we got everything needed done.

The truck is now safely up and running. I need to find time now to get it down to Mexico to do the bodywork.

We took it on a high speed test drive and all felt in order.

I planted this week ago but I can’t remember what it is. So i’m not entirely sure if it’s supposed to look like this. But it looks a little weak so I gave it some nitrogen. 09/20/23

Planted this from cuttimgs outside. I will move it to grow lights.

We were sitting outside tonight enjoying the evening and Yun looked to the sky and saw this brilliant light. No idea at the time what it was – far too big to be a jet or helicopter and lighted up the sky.

After time we discovered it was Musk’s satellite. So neat to see that. Co-workers in Mesa saw it as did family in Mexico.

The original basil I have is looking pretty bad. FloraGro has a decent anount of nitrogen, so I added .75 ml to the pint it is growing in. I am hoping this will turn things around.

Started some seedlings – front row is collard greens and back row is kale.

Propogating herbs – I’m learning this is the easiest thing to grow, especially the basil. I added some mint and rosemary. I am doing kratky and competing that with aeration.

The bok choy still growing strong and entirely worthless. It’s not clustering into heads and I have no idea why. It grows fast, but I’ve yet to figure this one out.
