deconstruction day three

All of the interior walls are now removed. Both bathrooms are removed along with the kitchen. One of the water lines snapped today, so I had to cap that. Eventually the entire plumbing architecture will need to be replaced.

I’m hesitant to remove the ceilings because I will then have to replace all of them along with the insulation in the attic. I suspect it is inevitable though.

So you pretty much just bought a lot at the auction.

  2. Matt says:

Ooh, I hate clutter and crap. I just want to go into your house right now and throw all that crap away!!!

  3. Dana says:

oops, that last comment was not from Matt but from Dana- sorry 🙁

So … wouldn’t it have been easier just to buy a lot?

  5. Ryan says:

I am starting to think the purchase of an empty lot would be easier, but the building process would have required all sort of building permits and inspections. Going this route, I can skip all of that and avoid the extra costs! Plus, I wouldn’t have been able to take a sledge hammer to an empty lot (with the same degree of satisfaction), so there’s always that too (it was pretty therapeutic).

Dana, I would love for you to come and clean up all that crap! Its going to be quite the task removing all of that stuff. There are nails sticking up all over the floor, how someone hasn’t stepped on one yet is beyond me.
