Middle Eastern cuisine

Yunuen and I met up with Dave and Vivi this afternoon to eat at the Shishkebab House for some Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. It was surprisingly good! Yun and I shared fafalel as an appetizer which was interesting. I ordered a Jordanian dish for my main course: Oozie (rice, onions, pine nuts, beef, and a side of laban). It was great!

Jeff and Beth came over later this evening for some cards. We played a game called “Hand and Foot” (see instructions here) which they tell us is something like Canasta. It was a lot of fun and naturally the guys decimated the girls!

  1. Ryan says:

In our defense, we lost with pride! 🙂 Not horrible for a first time, huh?

  2. Middle Eastern food is great! Actually we enjoy many ethnic foods. Sarah and I are going to try to go to that Ethiopian place on Broadway before we go back to Colorado.
