Last month we returned to Kino with Matt and Dana, who brought Charles and Julie with them. Because there were more of us than usual, we were able to find an affordable palace right on the beach. The place was magnifico. I think we were all inspired to buy land in Tucson and replicate it.
Our steak tradition continues. Matt brought some gargantuan fillets that were perhaps his best work yet. We had lots of wine and cigars for accompaniment.
This is probably the best time of year to be on the beach in Northern Mexico. The temperature is still pretty high, but much more tolerable than just a few months past. We didn’t spend much time on the beach though.
Since Scout is over 15 years old now, he doesn’t have much time left. It’s quite possible this was his last trip to the beach. I hope that’s not the case, but just in case, we made sure to get as much beach into the day as we could.
