Tucson soon…

Yun and I will soon be living in Tucson if things continue according to plan. We found a home to rent last week and secured it. Rental rates have skyrocketed since our departure. Tucson is unbelievably expensive now compared to how it was upon our departure.

On Thursday we had our traditional steak and potato dinner. As always, it was supremely enjoyable. Once we are living in Tucson, I am not sure what this tradition will look like.

Sold the Jeep

With joy and a bit of sadness, I sold my Jeep last week. I sold it or nearly double what I paid for it 5 years ago. Normally vehicles are not a good investment, but this turned out to be an exception.

I have probably put on less than a hundred miles on it in the last year. I never use it and therefore it was good to get rid of it. Even so, I did enjoy its rustic glory.

PF Chang

We celebrated Yun’s 41st in Tucson last week. We had a bday dinner at PF Changs. This place used to be nice. It is no longer nice.

New Years in Kino

Iglesia de Kino

Yun and I took a trip to Kino for a few days to celebrate the New Year. It is hard to believe that is 2020 already. I watched a preview of Back to the Future II yesterday where the movie takes place in 2015. The movie was made in the late 80s, but their conception of 2015 included flying cars.

Tuesday was a bit colder than Monday (which was in the mid-70s), so we decided to take a hike up to a little chapel that we saw on a hill behind the house we were renting. The picture is misleading. It was steep. So steep I nearly died from fatigue. At least I got some sweet drone footage.

New Year’s morning was beautiful. It was in the 70s by 9am. We spent the morning on the beach enjoying our coffees.

We should be getting discount

We should be getting some sort of bulk discount given the frequency in which we are eating the fish taco. Recently we had an opportunity to take Daniel and his new wife Paola out. It was a great opportunity to get to know them.

David’s cumpleaƱos

My next door neighbor David invited us over to his bday party a short while back. It was the same night as our neighborhood party, so we couldn’t stay long.
