Muchacho Polaco

These three tomato plants are all that remain from my crop this season. One of the tomato plants is doing really well and looks as though it will probably survive until producing fruit.

I spent yesterday afternoon with the men from my church in San Pedro. San Pedro is a small village just north of the city. Despite its close proximity, it’s actually much greener and much cooler. For this reason I wouldn’t mind looking to buy land there someday in the event we stay in Sonora longer than we currently plan.

We went out for some ribs this afternoon with some younger people from church. We used to frequent this restaurant before another one opened closer to our house that offered the same sort of food. After experiencing the new restaurant, I’m a bit disappointed in this one. The portions are significantly smaller and the price is significantly higher. As such, I don’t see us returning here anytime soon. Even so, it was a lot of fun as they have a nice patio in the back that can accommodate a larger group.

This is our second attempt at eating at Reforma 255. I was not to impressed on our first visit, but the food today was pretty good. I had a corn soup and a dish I’ve never heard of with chilies poblano filled with cheese and meat. Similar to chiles rellenos, but with no sauce on the outside.

We are back at doctor’s office today for fertility treatment. The doctor is often punctual but today he was an hour delayed and so we had an opportunity to get caught up on the Mexican version of Jerry Springer.

We had lunch over at Janet Long’s house last Sunday after church. Great food and good times, we played various games and had a lot of fun. We ended up staying roughly 8 hours.

We were pretty excited about Starbucks yesterday.

Yun and I came up to Tucson today. It’s a little bit cooler here and feels great!

My friend Ignacio grows plants for a living in his nursery. Last Sunday he brought me about 20 petunias to plant in my yard. So I planted them today.
