I have had Asael spend nearly the entire day installing a mesh outside to reduce the amount of sun we are getting inside. I was told the mesh blocks 80% of the sun. This should help quite a lot as we’ve aleady had 100+ days. I hope this will help reduce the electric bill too.
Yesterday was a productive day around the house. I was able to visit a number of hardware stores in the area and found all sort of treasure. One such treasure were these four inch PVC tubes that I had cut in length of 4 feet each. I’m going to cut 2 inch holes in them and use them as a vertical planter. I saw some YouTube videos where people have done this successfully and it looks pretty fun. My worker and friend Asael is going to help me with this project and especially with the automation of the irrigation.
We went out for hamburgers last night for our friend Monica’s birthday. There are not a lot of places here to get a good hamburger, but last night was an exception. Sadly, I lack restraint and therefore ate far too much. Even so, we had a good time and good food.

One of my tomato plants is substantially larger than the other two. Not yet figured out why that is the case as the conditions seem to be identical for each of them as they grew. I’ve transplanted it to larger pots as its grown so its not that it had more space than the others.
We traveled to Kino on Tuesday with Matt and Dana. A little windy, but really nice. They were able to experience the awesomeness of my jeep. Scout got a second visit to the beach in a week. He was pretty thrilled about that.
I’m in a Jeep club here in town and last night we had a dinner at one of the guys homes. Despite the language barrier that still exists to some degree I’m able to have a good time and enjoy good food. Our host is retired and had the opportunity to catch our dinner the day before the sea. It qas the best tasting fish I’ve had in a very long time.
Playing spades right at this very moment. We are currently 40 points behind.
But as the scorecard will note I’ve already played nil twice.
Matt shuffles. He prepares himself for total domination by me. As traditional rules dictate a third play of nails will be considered a technical win.
This is the crap I’ve been getting this entire game, but none the less I’ve still been able to pull through to what will likely be a victory. I wanted to go nil, but nobody could play now with this hand. So far I’m playing this hand pretty well.
Dana is a strong one this round. I am playing my third nil for this game. They are literally freaking out right now. But this is a very difficult hand to pull off. The question now is with four cards remaining will I be able to do it. 3 cards now remain. Two cards now remain. And the grand nil master has once again demonstrated why he rules at spades.
I just bid another nil as a last ditch effort in light of my crap hand.
That ace presents a problem fot my nil. Four cards remain. And we crushed it with my nil!
Carlos came over last night to help me install some LED lights on my Jeep. It took a couple hours to complete and it was a good learning opportunity for me to understand how to install those. Once finished the lights look and work really well. They are extremely bright. I love them.
