Tonight I had a few guys over for a study on one of J.C. Ryle’s books ‘Holiness’. To supplement the study, I cooked up about 20lbs of meat for our carne asada, while Yunuen and Betsy prepared all the food. We had lots of beer, wine, cigars and pipes to help focus and the food was excellent. The night began a little windy, but turned out to be really pleasant later on. The plan, tentatively, is to meet again on May 22nd for more of the same.
I have to dispute your recollection of the spades result. I recall the first game (which we won) being a rather shameful showing by your team and the second being a nail bitter and after reviewing the rules I’m convince it we could have taken both quite easily had we been scoring correctly. It was a fun trip. It was good to get away to the beach one last time before we are FORCED to visit European beaches and cities for vacation.
