first experience using an auger on the bathtub drain

I spent some time today desperately attempting to unclog the bathtub drain with an auger I purchased recently. It proved to be a good purchase, but I wasn’t quite prepared for what came forth from the drain! The best description would be something like 50lbs of partially digested hair with some sort of light brown jelly covering everything. Sick

I have my first board meeting for the 2007-2008 school year this evening, which should prove eventful. I am excited about the inventory of cigars I have to choose from. Ben and Lis returned from Brazil recently and brought me back two sweet looking cigars; a Dona Flor (the robusto rates an 89!)and a Alonso Menendez (also rating an 89!). I still have four Cuban Cohibas a friend from work brought me a few weeks back.

It is hot today, but I enjoy it and all the more as Yunuen and I will be high in the Andes in a couple days where the temperature will be half of what I am experiencing today. We received her VISA from the Peruvian consulate in Los Angeles this morning which was quite the miracle in light of our getting them Yunuen’s passport on Monday! We are greatly indebted to Yun’s friend at work making that work as the normal processing time is a week.

Matt and Dana leave next week for their move to Ireland – so we hope to have one last American Division Spades Championship tomorrow evening. We are both very excited to visit them next month if I am able to get the time.

I have set up a web site for my sister’s blog using One&One who offers some exceptionally cheap web hosting and free domain registration. I set up our friend Betsy Dunlap with the same for her caligraphy business – though saddly time constraints have throttled the completion of both of these projects. I hope to be able to finish them quickly upon our return.  Open-mouthed
