Our old pump, only a few years old, was going out fast. The prior owners put that garbage in. I replaced it for a 1.5hp variable speed which is so quiet you can’t even tell it is on. It is great. Given I am no electrician, nor plumber, I was a bit nervous to embark solo. Even so, there are so many great tutorials online and was able to complete the switch in a few hours.
