Muchacho Polaco

So for whatever reason, we decided to go low budget on this trip. So instead of the spectacular-looking hotel off the city center square, we opted for a little hostel down the street. The place itself is not horrible, but the first night was so incredibly difficult because there was no air conditioning in the room. Needless to say we did not get any sleep that night. The next day we were fortunate enough to be able to change the room or one that had that window. So our sleep last night was infinitely better.

Yun and I left Sunday to travel to Guadalajara. It’s a cheap flight from Hermosillo. I think we paid about $70 each for a round trip ticket. The flight itself is only about an hour to an hour and a half. The flight was pretty horrible. We had really bad turbulence. So I hope it will be nothing like that on our return tomorrow.

Celebrating our 11-year anniversary. Good times.

Our friend Raul was here last weekend for a visit from Yucatan. We haven’t seen him in over a year. Was good to spend some time and to catch up. There’s a possibility he may be moving back here to Hermosillo within the year.

Yun and I went to banamichi on Thursday and returned yesterday. It was a quick, but spectacular visit.

We had a study on one of John Owens works tonight, The Mortification of Sin. Good times.

I’ve been sick since Friday night when I consumed the most spectacular meat (which apparently was toxic). I went to the doctor today and received a list of medications to kill the infection. After which I need to take medication for parasites. I envision a colony of invaders taking over my insides. Maybe this is why I am gaining weight??

I took my Jeep in a week ago to get painted. I am changing it to a dark grey (I hope!) and it was supposed to be done yesterday. However, due to the number of dings and dents that needed to be fixed, it will probably be another week.

I went to the dunes yesterday with a group of my Jeep friends. Despite being rather hot, it was mostly an enjoyable day.

Unfortunately, at the very end of the day I I found my oil pressure gauge dip radically and found that I had a damaged oil pan or something in that area which leaked out all of my oil. This would not be the first time this has happened.

As such, I had to be towed home. That made for a rather long journey home. Nonetheless, it was still fun and I hope that the damage is not too severe.

Yunuén and I began premarital counseling with Nadia and Sergio yesterday. We remember doing the same ourselves 11 years ago. And I remember how entirely unnecessary I thought the process was. Things have changed dramatically since then.

We met for two hours yesterday. And we’re intending to meet twice a month over the course of the next 12 weeks.
